If you like things a little more ‘steamy’, the how about a visit to one of “The Great Little Trains of Wales”. There are fine examples of Narrow Gauge Railways at “Ffestiniog”, Tal-y-Llyn”, “Llanberis Lake Railway” and the “Welsh Highland Railway”.
Most of these were built for the slate industry in the late nineteenth century and have been modified for people (carriages with seats have been added!).
